"A Bargain in Savannah”
May 20, 2008 Tampa,
FL
We were towing a U-Haul and needed a hotel with
a fenced in parking lot with lots of free parking.
We found this hotel in the AAA book. The desk
staff were the nicest people I have ever found
in any hotel. There is an indoor pool and spa
and a very nice free continental breakfast that
includes hard boiled... more |

“Great Budget Hotel”
Apr 26, 2008 Illinois City, Illinois
I had read the reviews on this hotel many times
before I decided to take a chance and booked this
hotel for 4 nights. What a good decision on my
part. My main reason to book this hotel was the
price. I just could not spend $250-$300 a night
on a hotel. I had other things I wanted to spend...

"We loved Comfort Suites”
Nov 5, 2007 Denver, Colorado
We loved Comfort Suites. When a friend booked
our stay there, I checked the reviews and wondered
what she had gotten us into! None of my concerns
were valid. We found the staff to be helpful, friendly,
and considerate. We enjoyed the morning breakfast
and definitely enjoyed the afternoon wine and beer
"happy hour." The pool area was clean

“Nice place to stay”
Apr 28, 2008 Lexington, South Carolina
A nice place to stay at a very reasonable
rate. Its within 10 minutes or so of downtown
Savannah. Our room was very clean, the bed was
comfy and the shower had great water pressure....I
don't need much else in a hotel room. There was
an indoor pool, which was nice, but it wasn't
heated. We only stayed in the... more |

“Clean rooms, nice staff, not 5 minutes
from historic district as stated”
Oct 14, 2007 Jacksonville, Florida
Stayed at Country Inn and Suites in October
2007. Nice rooms, clean, staff is friendly, nice
complimentary breakfast in the morning. Only complaint
we had was we were told the historic district
of Savannah, River Street, was 5 minutes away.
Its not. More like 15 minutes. But if don't mind
the longer drive, I would suggest staying here
overall. more |

May 10, 2008 London
Motel is immediately off the I95, bunched with
other motels it is next to a cracker barrel. Stayed
for 2 days, staff arranged a courtesy pick up
and drop off in Savannah historic district, 5
dollars, plus 18 dollars for the historic district
tour. The motel room is a standard size, very
clean and tidy, there is a nice indoor... more |

Nov 16, 2007 Charlotte, NC
I had business in the Savannah area and enjoy
all my stays at a Carlson Property. This Hotel was
your typical Country Inn and Suites except that
the entire staff was excellent. From the moment
I checked-in on a Friday early evening the GM, Ron
was very friendly, helpful as the Hotel was busy
which looked like Groups also were... more |

“Overrated!”
Apr 29, 2008 marthalena
Tripadvisor has never steered me wrong...until
now!! I have no idea why this hotel scored so
highly and I was really disappointed. It's not
a terrible hotel; it's quite serviceable but it's
a long schlep into downtown Savannah. In a city
as full of charm as Savannah, I'd rather have
a little tattered elegance in town than be 20-30
minutes... more |

“A good stopover”
Apr 16, 2008 Suffolk, England
We stayed here for 2 nights in order to see Savannah.
Firstly, can I say this hotel is NOT situated in
Savannah, it is about 15 miles outside, we stayed
in the Hampton Inn and Suites on the I-95, there
is another Hampton Inn & Suites in the old town
off Bay Street. The reviews caused us some problems

“Great hotel/great location”
Mar 30, 2008 northeast
Stayed here on our way home from FL. This is the
nicest Hampton I have stayed in. Recently renovated
in an old southern style. Great location - walking
distance to a great downtown. Really comfortable
beds. All in all, a really nice experience. Savannah
is a beautiful old city worth a night or two.
Had great Greek food down near... more |

Stayed here for one night when unable to get out

much appreciated. The staff was extremely helpful

definitely stay here again if in the area. more |

We stayed in the Hawthorn Suites at Savannah at
the end of a 16 day trip that had taken us from
NYC to MyrtleBeach then Hilton Head Island then
finally Savannah for a flight home. We found the
one bedroom suite to be ideal for 2 adults and 2
teenagers. The hotel is new and everthing is squeaky
clean. Huge... more |

I booked this hotel for a short stay in Savannah
on the basis of the tripadvisor reviews and was

but very simple) and park in the visitor centre

Jan 3, 2008 Woodland, NC
Stayed here based on previous reviews I read. Rooms
are roomy, modern, fresh, and quiet. The desk staff
is very eager to help with directions, local info,
and tips on where to dine for dinner. Breakfast
in the hotel facility was really good, soft scrammbled
eggs were done perfect, french toast and coffee.
Service is great. It's a safe bet,... more |

“One of the best hotels I have ever stayed

Jan 2, 2008 Orlando
Seriously. Nice place...I was worried because frankly,
Holiday Inn has let me down a few times. This one
was awesome. The hotel is very new so the decor
is something you might pick for your own home. Very
modern. There is also a flat screen television in
the room. Housekeeping was smiling and friendly
and the restaurant called me to... more |

“Don't try working the waffle iron”
Oct 29, 2006 West Virginia
Ladies who checked us in at front desk were friendly.
Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast
was a little disappointing due to the fact that
we were yelled at rudely by the worker (about how
to use the waffle iron). If you stay here, we quickly
& loudly learned that you are to push the waffle
iron button only one... more |

For some reason we drove past the Days Inn and on

or more helpful .Perhaps we were suckered in.A cursory
inspection of the room and we booked in . In its
defence I've got to say it was incredibly cheap,...

"liked this property a lot!"
Sep 17, 07
We stayed in this motel because of a discount coupon,
but it was not accepted..the Management was already
giving a rate 10$ lower! I suspected it would be
a dismal room, unclean, needing maintenance, but
it was a clean, neat room, very well appointed,
and VERY comfortable. I am just guessing that the
mattresses were new, but they were at.. more |

The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable.
The staff was pleasant. The breakfast was good.
It's close to the highway. Unfortunately, I could
barely reach the sink, though the sink was lovely.

Everything in the room was convenient. more |

“What did you expect for the price?”
Jun 16, 2008, Boca Raton
Rooms are not cheap in Savannah. So this location
is definitely a compromise. We stayed at this place
for 2 nites and after ALL THE TAXES ($12 per night)
it was $70 per night. The good thing is it's a straight
shot out of the historic district on Oglethorpe.

“Good Price, Lots of Noise”
Mar 20, 2008 Orlando, FL
I was apprehensive to book an Econo Lodge but
the rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and
the price great. The building did show signs of
aging but the wireless internet worked and I always
felt safe. The close proximity to an air-force
base and their flights arriving/departing at tree-top
levels from 8:00 AM to midnight was truly inconvenient
