Tripadvisor has never steered me wrong...until
now!! I have no idea why this hotel scored so
highly and I was really disappointed. It's not
a terrible hotel; it's quite serviceable but it's
a long schlep into downtown Savannah. In a city
as full of charm as Savannah, I'd rather have
a little tattered elegance in town than be 20-30

We stayed here for 2 nights in order to see Savannah.
Firstly, can I say this hotel is NOT situated in
Savannah, it is about 15 miles outside, we stayed
in the Hampton Inn and Suites on the I-95, there
is another Hampton Inn & Suites in the old town

“Great hotel/great location”

Stayed here on our way home from FL. This is the
nicest Hampton I have stayed in. Recently renovated
in an old southern style. Great location - walking
distance to a great downtown. Really comfortable
beds. All in all, a really nice experience. Savannah
is a beautiful old city worth a night or two.

We stayed in this motel because of a discount coupon,
but it was not accepted..the Management was already
giving a rate 10$ lower! I suspected it would be
a dismal room, unclean, needing maintenance, but
it was a clean, neat room, very well appointed,
and VERY comfortable. I am just guessing that the
mattresses were new, but they were at.. more |

The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable.
The staff was pleasant. The breakfast was good.
It's close to the highway. Unfortunately, I could
barely reach the sink, though the sink was lovely.
I'm five feet tall. Everything was so comfortable.

This was a brand new hotel and had only been open
for a couple of weeks. It was nicely appointed and
neat as a pin. Their new bedding system is indeed
enjoyable. The room was cool and comfortable after

“What did you expect for the price?”

Rooms are not cheap in Savannah. So this location
is definitely a compromise. We stayed at this place
for 2 nites and after ALL THE TAXES ($12 per night)
it was $70 per night. The good thing is it's a straight
shot out of the historic district on Oglethorpe.

“Good Price, Lots of Noise”

I was apprehensive to book an Econo Lodge but
the rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and
the price great. The building did show signs of
aging but the wireless internet worked and I always
felt safe. The close proximity to an air-force
base and their flights arriving/departing at tree-top
levels from 8:00 AM to midnight was truly inconvenient
